Ginger D. Schroder

Founding Partner  

Ms. Schroder is a founding partner in the law firm of Schroder, Joseph and Associates, LLP (SJA), the only 100 percent women owned and a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and has New York State WBE certification as well.  The firm is a labor and labor and employment litigation boutique, focusing in traditional labor relations and employment law as well as complex commercial litigation including intellectual property litigation.  The firm provides counseling and work in the employee benefits arena, such as health and welfare and 401K plans.  SJA is the only Western New York based law firm to be counsel to five of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies, as well as listed Corporate Counsel’s Who Represents America’s Biggest Companies, 2003, 2004 and 2005.  Ms. Schroder was recognized in “Who’s Who among Western New York Lawyers” for Labor and Employment Law for both 2004 and 2005.  Ms. Schroder is a Business First, 40 under Forty Honoree (1998), a 2006 Leader (Professional) Nominee and the recipient of the Society for Human Resource Management’s 2001 award for Outstanding Human Resource Professional.

 

Represents large and small private and public sector clients in the areas of collective bargaining, contract grievance arbitration and proceedings before Federal and State agencies and courts dealing with discrimination, harassment, civil rights, various statutory employee rights, wage and hour, NLRA and PERB issues, ERISA rights, reduction in work force, separation agreement and OWBPA issues, wrongful discharge and related claims.  Extensive experience in sexual harassment and gender discrimination litigation regarding terms and conditions of employment and wage issues in both state and federal courts.
