    Founding Partner

    Ms. Schröder is a founding partner in the law firm of Schröder, Joseph and Associates, LLP (SJA), the only 100 percent women-owned law partnership in Western New York that is federally certified as a Womens Business Enterprise (WBE) and which has New York State WBE certification. The firm is a traditional labor and employment litigation boutique, focusing in labor and employment and complex commercial litigation including intellectual property litigation. SJA is the only Western New York based law firm to be counsel to four of the top ten Fortune 500 companies, as well as listed Corporate Counsels Who Represents Americas Biggest Companies.

    Ms. Schröder was recognized in Who's Who among Western New York Lawyers for Labor and Employment Law for the past ten years, and she is listed as one of the top 50 lawyers overall and one of the top 25 women lawyers in upstate New York by New York Super Lawyers. Ms. Schröder was a Business First "40 Under Forty" Honoree (1998), a 2006 Leader (Professional) Nominee and the recipient of the Society for Human Resource Managements 2001 award for Outstanding Human Resource Professional.Ms. Schröder was honored by the Western New York Chapter of the Womens Bar Association for the State of New York as the recipient of the Hon.     Ms. Schröder also represents large and small private and public sector clients in the areas of collective bargaining, contract grievance arbitration and proceedings before Federal and State agencies and courts dealing with discrimination, harassment, civil rights, various statutory employee rights, wage and hour, NLRA and PERB issues, ERISA rights, reduction in work force, separation agreement and OWBPA issues, wrongful discharge and related claims. She has extensive experience in sexual harassment and gender discrimination litigation and litigation regarding terms and conditions of employment and wage issues in both state and federal courts.
